Salt & Pepper Shrimp mixture is toasted to give it more flavor and fragrance, and it’s very easy to make. You can even prepare it in bulk, transfer it to jars, and give them out as gifts as people do with jams and pickles.



  1.  Combine white, black, and Sichuan peppercorns into a spice grinder until finely ground. Alternatively, you may use a mortar and pestle to grind. Mix with salt and set aside.
  2.  Heat oil in a wok or skillet, and add garlic and shrimp. When shrimp starts to turn pink, add scallions, Thai chilies, and salt-pepper mixture.
  3.  When shrimp is cooked through, spoon the mixture over a bed of lettuce.
